Enjoy great days out at the seaside with the award-winning Scottish Seabird Centre, North Berwick, with discounted entry to the Discovery Experience.. The freshly refitted space is now open again following flood damage in February 2024, and they are delighted to welcome visitors back. Control the interactive live cameras to zoom in on the amazing local wildlife in its natural habitat including puffins, gannets and seals on islands such as the Bass Rock, Isle of May and Craigleith.

The Bass Rock is the world’s largest colony of Northern gannets and the Isle of May is the biggest puffin colony on the east coast of Britain. There’s different wildlife to see throughout the year and at different stages of the breeding season. The Discovery Experience team will take you through key things to spot during your visit and there’s also a wildlife theatre, interactive exhibits, games, virtual reality experience and seasonal events.

There is also a gift shop for lots of treats and great local produce available in the Seabird Café which has East Lothian’s only seaside sundeck, with stunning views over the Firth of Forth to the Bass Rock.
