PlusBus tickets are available as a day ticket or a Season ticket with options for seven days, one month, three months, or one year - matching your rail Season ticket validity. PlusBus offers unlimited discounted bus and tram travel, which you can add to your train ticket for seamless journeys. Whether you're commuting, shopping, visiting friends, or enjoying a day out, PlusBus makes travel easier and more affordable.

In addition to PlusBus, we also offer a combined rail and bus ticket, from stations across our network, to several towns that don't have a railway station. These tickets can be bought at our station ticket offices. We offer through-tickets to the following towns which have bus connections from stations on our network.

  • Alfreston - via Polegate or Seaford railway stations
  • Burnham Market - via Kings Lynn railway station
  • Dersingham - via Kings Lynn railway station
  • Fakenham - via Kings Lynn railway station
  • Hunstanton - via Kings Lynn railway station
  • Sandringham - via Kings Lynn railway station
  • St Ives (Cambridgeshire) - via Cambridge or Huntingdon railway stations
  • Wells-next-the Sea - via Kings Lynn railway station

When can I use PlusBus? 

PlusBus tickets are available as a day ticket or as a Season ticket with a validity period of seven days, a month, three months and a year (to match your rail season validity). PlusBus tickets are valid for unlimited bus travel on the same day as your train journey. They can be used on most local buses within the designated PlusBus zone, subject to operator participation.

Things to remember about PlusBus 

  • Same-day validity: The validity period of a PlusBus ticket, must be the same or less than your train ticket. PlusBus tickets can't be issued with an expiry date, after your train ticket has expired. 
  • Specific zones: Travel is limited to the PlusBus zone of the chosen town or city. 
  • Participating operators only: PlusBus is only valid on buses operated by participating companies.
  • Already have a train ticket: If you already have your train ticket you can buy PlusBus at a ticket office only.
  • Additional restrictions: PlusBus tickets may have extra restrictions when used with Railcards or other discounts. Please visit National Rail for full details. 

How can I save further, and what discounts are available? 

  • Railcards: Get up to 1/3 off your PlusBus Day ticket when using a Railcard, making it even more affordable. There are no Railcard discounts with PlusBus Season tickets. 
  • Child discounts: Children aged 5-15 receive a 50% discount on PlusBus tickets. 
  • Season ticket holders: Add PlusBus to your Season ticket for a seamless daily commute at a reduced cost. 
  • Plan ahead: Buying a combined train and PlusBus ticket together helps you budget more effectively for your journey.
