Train Service Updates

National Industrial action by ASLEF will regrettably impact Southern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Great Northern services from Monday 6 May until Saturday 11 May.

An amended timetable with fewer services will be operating between Wednesday 8 and Saturday 11 May (inclusive).

We're sorry that on Tuesday 7 May, there will be no services running across the vast majority of the network. Specifically:
- There will be no Southern services running, except for a limited shuttle service running non-stop between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport only.
- There will be no Thameslink services running, except for a limited shuttle service calling at Luton, Luton Airport Parkway and London St Pancras and another limited non-stop shuttle service between London Kings Cross and Cambridge.
- There will be no Gatwick Express services. However, Gatwick Airport will continue to be served by the limited non-stop Southern shuttle.
- There will be no Great Northern services operating.
Please remember to plan your journey, allow additional time and to check again before travelling.

Engineering work for Today

Buses replace late night / early morning trains between Dartford and Rainham from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 May

Thameslink services between Kentish Town / Dartford and Gillingham / Rainham

Engineering work is taking place between Dartford and Rainham, closing all lines.

Between 23:55 (Tuesday to Thursday) and 05:05 (Wednesday to Friday), buses will replace trains between Dartford and Rainham.

Please note, due to industrial action taking place on Tuesday 7 May, the replacement buses scheduled to run Tuesday night will no longer run.

No late night Thameslink services to / from Sutton from Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 May

Engineering work is taking place in the Herne Hill area, closing various lines.

As a result, the 22:37 St Albans to Sutton and 22:54 Luton to Sutton services will not run. You should use other Southern / Thameslink services and London Buses to complete your journey.

Please note, due to industrial action taking place on Tuesday 7 May, there will be no other alternative Southern / Thameslink services running on Tuesday.

Buses replace late night / early morning trains between Three Bridges / Haywards Heath and Brighton / Eastbourne from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 May

Engineering work is taking place between Three Bridges and Brighton, closing some lines.

Please note, due to industrial action taking place on Tuesday 7 May, the replacement buses scheduled to run Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning will no longer run.

Southern:

Tuesday and Wednesday:

The 23:25 London Victoria to Brighton service will divert via Lewes. A rail replacement bus will run between Haywards Heath and Brighton.

Wednesday and Thursday:

The 00:02 London Victoria to Worthing / Eastbourne service will terminate at Three Bridges. A rail replacement bus will run between Three Bridges and Brighton.
The 01:08 Haywards Heath to Eastbourne service will not run. A rail replacement bus will run between Three Bridges and Eastbourne.

Thursday:

Additional 01:22 and 02:09 Brighton to Worthing services will run.

Thameslink:

Between 00:25 and 05:00 (Wednesday to Friday), buses will replace trains between Three Bridges and Brighton.

Engineering work is taking place between Stevenage and Cambridge, closing all lines overnight.

Between 23:55 and 05:05 each night, buses will replace trains between Stevenage and Cambridge.

Please note, due to industrial action taking place on Tuesday 7 May, the replacement buses will not be running on Tuesday.
