Login or create a account: Easily access or create your Thameslink account
Purchase your sTicket*: Simply buy your sTicket. For first-time purchases, you'll need to upload a photo**, this will be securely stored in the app for future use
Download and view: Quickly find and download your sTicket in the “My tickets” section of the Thameslink app
Travel effortlessly: Scan your sTicket at the gate or show it to a memeber of staff when needed

sTickets are also available to purchase on the Thameslink website, however you will need to download the Thameslink app to use your sTicket.

*Not all routes and areas are available as sTickets, you will be shown if your route and ticket is eligible during the purchasing process

** Please ensure the photo uploaded for your sTicket follows these requirements:

It is instantly recognisable as you
It is a passport style photo
There is nothing covering your face
Do not use an image filter

If a member of rail staff can't confirm you are the ticket holder, you may be charged the full ticket price or liable to a penalty fare.

What is an sTicket?

What types of season tickets will be available as an sTicket?

Will sTickets be available for all season ticket journeys?

Can I use my Railcard with my sTicket?

Will I need internet connection to download/display an sTicket to travel?

Internet connection will be required to download the sTicket barcode prior to the first journey of the day. Following this, if poor connection is experienced and the sTicket is required to enter/exit gates or for inspection purposes, the last downloaded barcode will be displayed. When the sTicket is required for the next journey, internet connection will be needed to refresh the barcode.

What version of phone is compatible to hold an sTicket?

Is break of journey permitted with an sTicket?

What happens if the device holding my sTicket is lost, stolen, forgotten, or the phone is replaced?

An sTicket can be transferred to a different device however the sTicket will only be available 3 hours after the last coupon was downloaded. If you are unable to transfer the ticket and/or wait 3 hours, you will need to purchase a valid ticket and claim a refund.

If you purchased your sTicket from us but discover you haven’t got it with you when travelling, you must buy a valid ticket for your journey.  

On the first occasion you will get a full refund.  

If you forget your season ticket on future occasions, we will refund the extra ticket(s) you bought to travel on the day minus a £5 admin fee.
